I am having a home loan with ICICI. I strongly recommend do not go with ICICI. They are very fast to increase variable APR. If it declines their comment was who are watching a market. In one instance all other banks reduced their VR but not ICICI. When I emailed ,they simple said we will let you know if there any changes but never reduced. In case increasee even before announcement by RBI, they increased my APR. More over If I want to repay earlier they are charging 2% penalty. so I stongly advice do not look ICICI bank for load if you want save some money. They are not right when it comes to loan. I had always difficult to change my address on my A/c

I think most of the members in this forum updated their data, at least from EB3 India I am sure. If you guys can pull data according to PD from administration console, you should be able get some valuable data to show. I wondered why this has not been done so far??? million dollar question???

This seems very unfair to people who had earlier PDs (2004 & 2005) and who have waited so many years to file. Now, people with PDs in 2007 will jump ahead of them in the queue just because of this fiasco, juts because they filed earlier. :confused:
dont worry, the above scenario would happen only if pd remaines current.This is highly unlikely. In the next few months PD would retrogress to for instance 2004 , then you'll get your GC first :) Cheer up buddy:)

Just read Matthew OH's website confirming with a ? the 800,000 figure. If the 800,000 figure is true, then be prepared to renew our EAD more than 2 twice.
I still have reservations until official figure from USCIS comes out.

There is a link on immigrationvoie.org website "when can I get my GreenCard" and to my utter shock when I clicked that I got the message that I will get my GC around 2026.
There is a checkbox for spill over visas also, and I selected that thinking that it will move my dates before...but it got moved only till 2024.
So does it really mean that I will get the GC around 2024 or is it just plain maths which doesn't goes practically with the changing scenarios.
Because right now the current PD is Feb'2005 and it looks like withing 2,3 yrs it should reach Dec'2007, but this data is just my guess OR more of intuition, I'm not sure what will happen.
In this forum there are many experienced people, if they can throw some light on this, it would really help. Otherwise things are sounding very depressing !!

So you are looking for motivation? Your post do not indicate that you are looking for motivation. There are those who are undecided or who cannot find enough energy/motivation to do something, and those people need motivation. You don't fall in that category. You are pretty much convinced that you don't belong here. Now you are just spoiling the environment to make sure that others all leave looking at you and mad-dog bickering. Last year they "wasted" about 10K visa numbers. It is absolutely up to them. However congress has authorized 140k a year and there are huge backlogs for AOS and CP. So when you put that together, leaving about 10K unapproved is clearly not enforcing congressional mandates. The ombudsman blasted them for this in his report, then we had the VB fiasco. None of this sounds like great management of the benefits. There clearly is room for improvement.
We (us and our employers) as the recipients of the benefits are complaining about this, and it is perfectly legitimate.
If any visa numbers are left unused, I definitely think we ought to take up this issue with congressional leaders like Zoe Lofgren. Even just a visa recapture legislation alone would help us tremendously until 2009(about the earliest they might get back to this issue more fully).
Please forgive me for asking this..... but can someone please explain to me what you mean by wasted visa numbers? Unfortunately, we will never know the daily or weekly details. If you see three bills introduced in a year like you saw last year, then it is the result of lobbying effort. IV core has periodic meetings with lobbying firm and all your money goes into that. Plus several trips to DC by IV leadership, to represent YOU and ME.
Are you part of core?
Can i take that core will not even give out information on what efforts it is lobbying currently?

If there are few cases which are returned for false reasons ( see other thread) after Aug 17th probably those few will be forgotten till PD becomes Current again - 6-7 yrs - Huh ? :)

This comes as no surprise, as it is most likely related to the July 2007 Visa Bulletin filings. The volume of cases has created a "front log" of cases awaiting initial data entry and issuance of receipt notices. The USCIS advises that the receipt notice delays will not impact eligibility for change of status or extension of status. Cases will be treated as received on their actual receipt dates, even if the receipt notice is delayed. The actual date that the filing was received at the USCIS (receipt date) will appear on the I-797 receipt notice, in addition to a later issuance of the receipt notice (notice date).
