Hi Experts,
My L1 Individual petition was rejected, the reason was "Individual doesn't have enough specialized knowledge". My question is can I make fresh petition for L1 blanket approval after 6-7 months?

Hi,
I am in a situation where I changed my Job and new organization has filed the Visa Transfer process on 28 May 2010.
My and my dependents current H1-B / H4 and I-94 from the prior organization is expiring on March 14 2011 and the H1-B Transfer process has not been completed and rather it is now in the RFE Status as of Today i.e March - 7 2011.
Am I still eligible to stay in US or not. What should be my next course of action.
Please suggest at the earliest.

Whether that is actually the case is a different matter altogether - just ask anyone who's LC was stuck at a BEC!

The big news is that the masters cap was hit as of December 24th. I had been predicting since last summer that this 20,000 quota would be hit in the last week of the year and the pace of usage stayed extremely consistent. The general quota has 7,700 visas of 65,000 remaining as of December 31st and the rolling four week average is now running at just over 1500. How can we help ourselves to get 2 year AP ? IV admins, can you kindly share with us any info regarding this ?
I know at this moment everyone is looking at the stimulus plan and economy, but , in the mean time we can prepare ourselves with some plan of action...
May be we should push for 3 year EAD/AP . Our argument should be, if we are 3 or more years away ( like EB3 India is currently 2001 or something ), we should get 3 year EAD/AP
Not meant to talk only for EB3 community, but in general as well.
Any thoughts IVians ?

I have my H1 visa interview in Vancouver, Canada on the 21st of Nov. I'll be driving from Hillsboro (OR) to Vancouver on the 20th evening. I also have hotel reservation very close to the US embassy.
I was wondering if anyone who has an interview on the same day might be interested in sharing the ride and/or hotel expenses. Since the 22nd is a holiday, and I need to stay back for another day to get the visa, I have the hotel room booked from the 20th through the 23rd.
Please let me know if you are interested, we'll discuss further.

I Just learnt that the Name Check for my I-485 was processed under a different Alien number when it should be processed by alien number assigned in I-485 case. Since it was cleared under a different number (probably the one for I-140), I-485 file did not have this information and now they are getting it fixed. So when everything in my case is current, this came up right at the time when they will almost be getting out of visa #s. :(
I recommend you should all contact your service centers where your I-485 was filed and make sure that yoru name check is in process or got processed under correct alien number. If the service center refuse to provide any information, contact your congressman office and have them verify this information. You can find who is your local congressman by going to http://www.visi.com/juan/congress/.
