:)I was cited under open container law in state of NJ newark pennstation.will this impact on my immigration status . I am a july 2007 filer waiting for the GC and working on EAD

Here is my situation, I will file for I-485 on July 1st.....but on July 21 I have to leave U.S....and my question is:
Can you leave the country as soon as you filed for I-485? or you have to wait for I-485 reciept?...I know it's mandatory to stay in U.S at the time of filing for I-485.....And is it true that after you file for I-485 you can leave U.S without any problems?
Please advise me.

One of my friend got this message like for his EAD only.

Did anyone notice that Compete America seem to have changed its website recently? I visited their website after sometime and it seems that they changed it recently.

Today, I was reviewing my I-485 application form and found that Under Part 3 Processing Information, we have to fill-up Place of last entry in United state (City/State):
I put my name there instead of Chicago/IL by mistake. I got I-485 receipt # and case is pending.
How can I correct this information? Is there any way? Please help me.

As far as the jury is concerned, however, the case is about only one thing: lying.
One particularly well-qualified witness on this subject was not called by either the prosecution or the defense, so today we cross-examine Robert Feldman ourselves. Feldman is a social psychologist at the University of Massachusetts who studies lying in everyday life, and his findings are just the kind of thing that Libby's lawyers could have pounced on.
Feldman's experiments show that stern-faced judicial proceedings about perjury are as remote from the realities of human behavior as President Bush is from the Nobel Peace Prize. For one thing, lying plays a more complex role in human relationships than the black-and-white legal view recognizes. It is also so commonplace in everyday life that putting people on trial for lying is somewhat like putting them on trial for breathing.
Experiments have found that ordinary people tell about two lies every 10 minutes, with some people getting in as many as a dozen falsehoods in that period. More interestingly -- and Libby might see this as the silver lining if he is found guilty -- Feldman also found that liars tend to be more popular than honest people. (Ever notice how popular politicians somehow change their minds on controversial issues such as the war in Iraq at the exact moment that public opinion on those issues changes?)

As per AC-21, you can just do H1 b transfer and keep ur already applied I-485 running as you have crossed 6 months.
Lets say, after getting EAD and AP and 6 months after filing for I-485, you want to switch jobs to another company but want to do an H1B transfer to a similar position. Do we still have to start the green card process from scratch to remain on H1B?

Dependent spouse using EAD does not invalidate your H1 status - If you use EAD then your H1 becomes invalid and your status will be "Pending AOS"
