Does PD exist just to be able to file I-485? Or as some members say, does it also play a role after filing I-485 for adjudication? Does CIS go by PD or RD when the visas are limited?
Let's say A has PD(Priority date) Dec 2004 and RD(Receipt Date) Jul 25 2007, and B has PD Mar 2007 and RD Jul 2 2007. Who would be adjudicated first?

You should receive the approval papers in a few weeks...
In case you donot, you have to follow up with PBEC...
If you donot get anywhere with that followup, there are some people who filed I-140s without the actual paper. In that case the USCIS sends a RFE to the PBEC.....

I am hoping they just dont tie EB2 I and Eb2 C at 15th Feb 2005 in April 2009.
Previously we have seen bulletins where Eb2 I and Eb2 C have tied up at 1Apr2004.
I dont know how many iterations it will take before it reaches the RIR/PERM boundary(1 Apr 2005)

July 2nd filers can expect their receipts by Friday(8/10) or Monday(8/13). It will take 3 days for them to just process July 2nd receipts.

If this is true ,we are happy.Atleast ,they are going to enter our applications in the system(atleast they are not lost).But,waiting till weekend is quite narrow.What if the application gets rejected and we have no time to refile??Anyways,was the 2nd july filers date a prediction or did u get the info from a reliable source?

It is very easy to contradict or find errors.
No body is getting paid here to have a tester test it. Yes I like the idea of donor for paid members. There are 31000 members not even 2500 members are contributing. This is one way of making them pay for the services or the info you get from the forum.
I support you reddymjm. It is easy to criticize. Every one should understand this. I was supporting paid forums from the begining. Nothing comes FREE in this world.
Many of my known people who are paid as much as me or even more do not even think of contributing any amount. But they keep questioning when do we get green cards.
We were habituated to criticize others as we were grown to spoon feed by our parents.
I support IV on this.

we are not talking anything new nixstor, there are people already waiting for years to get name check done......dont think if you pretend like nothing is happened will get a GC within a year....even though we might still stuck for years in the name of name check
May be you are right. I am pretending like nothing has happened. But Those folks who are adding spin to the issue on security checks, are you focusing in any way on the root cause of the problem. My point is, If you bring security on, every thing else is shelved until security is fixed. If its already there, let it be there. Let AILA figure out in the law suit how they approved. Let Rep Lofgren do it. Why should we stir up the hornet's nest on digg and open doors to anti guys to tighten security checks on us. Its like we are going out there and saying that "yes, My buddy got GC in 6 months. The security system is not working. Please fix it " What will be the result?

1. Threads concerned with the Action Items and Legislative matters should be separated from the usual GC related questionnaire
If you look at the website you find a bunch of new threads related to 485 filing. Most of them bear answers in previous threads. People dont want to search..but that okay..they can form new threads if they are very desperate for the answers.
But at the same time due to the flood of these messages we are missing important notices and action items like this one.If we separate them somehow it will be helpful.
2. Lets have an organized tracking of 485s. Lets separate them by Visa category , country, PD or RD.
ex: Eb3 country: India
PD 2001: RD:...? LUD: ...?

EB3 : China...
...
..
Lets have an option of adding friends approx dates who are not immigration voice members. This way we can have rough estimate about what happening. Lets not make threads for each category.

Yesterday I contributed $300 and I hope I do better than that today, but I need help from all those people who have never contributed. So please pull the trigger. We have many people who are pretty knowledgeable on matters related to AC21 (like chaduv) who might be able to answer them. If it is something about this campaign and have questions - please shoot, will try to explain why we are considering it is a serious one and can affect anyone.
Everything related to EB immigration is grim for last couple years - the only two things that made some positive impact on us are July 07 fiasco and admin reforms. IV made great efforts to achieve them against all odds (just like RedSox win yesterday :)) - those two combined with AC21 regulations provided many of us the flexibility and career advancement that we missed because of this cesspool called GC. Now that flexibility is at stake. What is the use of AC21 regulations and EAD if we are not certain about whether our I485 will not be denied later.
Some have pointed out that this will not affect them or that their previous employer will not revoke I140. First of all - never assume your I140 will not be revoked - it can happen in many circumstances even if you had good relations with employer. And even if you are not planning to use AC21 right now, think about this: we are all in this together to make EB immigration better. When things are tough to make any change (legislatively or administratively) - we cannot afford to lose one of the very few positive things that happened to us. IV core fought for us - spending their time and even money - lets take some inspiration from their acts, and show them that we volunteers are serious when we say that we want to contribute to IV and make a difference to EB laws or USCIS functioning.

ya just because u need green card, you agree with professor sahib. once u get ur green card u will also talk bad about india and indian workers.. i think gone r days when it was a cheap labor.. do u think our education systems/colleges IIT's/REC's are crap.
just because he favored GC applicant you should not agree..he straightway projected india as third world nation in eductaion, resource quality etc ..
I totally totally agree with Professor Sahib! I wish the government listens to him. What he is saying is good for everyone. As Indians we want America to succeed and prosper and we want to be a big part of the reason they prosper.
